About Hunter Metal Industries
Hunter Metal Industries has manufactured on Long Island since 1951, and as Hunter Displays has built point-of-purchase displays for agencies and brands since the 1960s. In 2026, Bridge Metal Industries, an OEM metal fabricator founded in 1945, consolidated its equipment, customers and sales team onto our floor in East Patchogue. Together, the two companies bring more than 150 years of experience to a single 40,000 sq ft facility, where about fifty people cut, form, weld, coat, decorate, assemble and ship. Hunter Metal Industries, Hunter Displays and Bridge Metal
Many customers still know the company as Hunter Displays. The three names, and how they relate, are set out below.
Hunter Metal Industries
The company and the facility. Turnkey metal component fabrication for OEMs and manufacturers: laser cutting, turret punching, forming, wire forming, welding, hardware insertion, powder coating, decorating, assembly and shipping.
Hunter Displays
The point-of-purchase division, and the name most customers still use. Retail displays built to your design and shipped as a program for agencies, display houses and POP producers.
Bridge Metal Industries
Founded 1945, merged into this floor in 2026. Its OEM customers, equipment and people now work from East Patchogue under the Hunter Metal Industries name.
History
Two companies with a combined 155 years of metal fabrication.
Hunter Metal Industries is part of the EK Group, a family of manufacturing companies. Within the group it is the New York operation: the plant that builds for the agencies and OEMs of the Northeast and ships their work across the country.
The consolidation gave the floor capabilities neither shop had alone. Bridge brought laser, punching, forming and hardware depth and its OEM book; Hunter brought powder coating, wire forming, tube fabrication and dedicated assembly lines. Combined purchasing on steel, wire and powder brought costs down for both sets of customers.
1945
Bridge Metal Industries founded
A trade sheet metal supplier in Mount Vernon, New York, twenty minutes north of the city. Stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, welding and OEM components for eighty years.
1951
Hunter founded in East Patchogue
Hunter starts as a metal manufacturer on Long Island. Early products include one of the first rolling shopping baskets, hot plates and other consumer goods.
1960s
Hunter Displays
The shop moves into point-of-purchase displays and stays there, building for the agencies and display houses that serve national brands and retailers.
2022
Bridge joins the EK Group
Bridge Metal Industries becomes part of the EK Group, alongside its sister companies, and continues as an OEM and POP contract fabricator.
2025
Hunter joins the EK Group
Hunter Displays joins the same group. Powder coating, wire forming and tube fabrication in East Patchogue complement Bridge’s laser, punching, forming and hardware work.
2026
Consolidation in East Patchogue
The Mount Vernon plant closes and its equipment, OEM customers and sales team move to East Patchogue. The combined company trades as Hunter Metal Industries, home of Hunter Displays.
