Our Amada CNC turret punch is the right choice for parts that are mostly holes, slots and knockouts. It carries a full tool library, so the turret is faster and less expensive than the laser for that work, and it adds small forms, louvers and embosses to the sheet in the same pass. Repeat parts run from the stored program, sheet after sheet, exactly the same.

CNC turret punching in detail
A turret punch does not cut a shape so much as stamp it out a hit at a time, and for parts with hundreds of holes, slots and knockouts that is the right tool. Every hit is the same, sheet after sheet, and the tooling is already in the turret so there is nothing to build or wait for.
The turret also carries forming tools. Louvers, embosses, countersinks and small tabs go in as the sheet is punched, which takes a secondary operation out of the job. We do not run a traditional stamping press; if your part needs deep draws or progressive dies, we will tell you at the quote.
